The Last Reading and Vocabulary Class

Today is our last Reading and Vocabulary class. We did our final presentation in this class.
I took a picture with my teacher after class. Her parents are from Taiwan!

She gave everyone of us a pin to remind us reading in the future.

My First Teacher

To be well-prepared for the life in Stanford, I have been taking English courses for about a month.
My teacher, Aaron, is an American who has shared lots and lots of experiences he had from there with me.
During this period, I've learned the following things for example:
  • writing better e-mails
  • writing instant messages
  • making self-introduction
  • lots of different situations that I may be encounter of
  • different manners
He is pretty nice, which makes me feel comfortable to ask questions that I have in mind. We also discussed about cell phones, bedding, bike rental, and tipping problems. However, in the meantime, since I am an international student, he told me to just simply tell others that I don't speak good English by saying:
I'm sorry. My English is poor.
However, during the next class, he changed his mind and told me to say:
I'm sorry. My English is not good.
By the way, Aaron is a cool guy because he is very interested in I-Ching (a book in ancient China). Most of the Taiwanese don't understand the real meanings of this book because we only study it for exams. We must often question ourself about the reason why the things we don't value so much appears to a foreigner so much. What happened to our eduction?
